The Berks Catholic Saints basketball squad scored 52 points and limited the host Exeter Township Eagles to 36 in the Saints non-league win on Wednesday.
With the win, Berks Catholic upgrades its record to 19-5 on the season. The Saints travel to Reading (Reading, PA) to play the Red KNights in a Berks County 1 bout on Friday, February 17. The Red KNights go into the bout with a record of 22-2. Reading won 68-49 in their recent non-league bout against Governor Mifflin (Shillington, PA)
Next up, the Eagles play the Shippensburg Greyhounds (Shippensburg, PA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 15. Exeter Township will attempt to upgrade on its 11-12 season record.
Bryce Calloway and Keba Mitchell each scored 12 points and Casey Jack had 11 points and five assists as Berks Catholic defeated Exeter 52-36 tonight in the Berks Conference semifinals at Santander Arena.
The second-seeded Saints (19-5) head to the Berks title game for the sixth time in their six-year history.
The Saints won again with their top-rated defense, limiting the sixth-seeded Eagles (12-12) to just 12 first-half points and 19 through three quarters.
