Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Berks Catholic Saints (Reading, PA) and the host Twin Valley Raiders (Elverson, PA), saw Berks Catholic's basketball squad wallop Twin Valley by a tally of 66-40.
With the victory, Berks Catholic improves its record to 11-4 on the campaign. The Saints host Conrad Weiser (Robesonia, PA) to confront the Scouts in a Berks County 2 challenge on Friday, January 27. The Scouts come into the challenge with a record of 12-6. Conrad Weiser won 51-42 in their recent league challenge against Fleetwood (Fleetwood, PA)
Next up, the Raiders confront the Wyomissing Spartans (Wyomissing, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 27. Twin Valley will attempt to improve on its 9-8 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 10-7 record after their 59-43 league win over Fleetwood (Fleetwood, PA).
Highlights: Sophomore Bryce Callaway scored a career-high 26 points as visiting Berks Catholic rolled over Twin Valley 66-40 to remain unbeaten and atop Division II of the Berks Conference.
Calloway hit on 12-of-18 shots before leaving midway through the fourth quarter with the Saints (6-0, 11-4) leading by 26 points.
The win was the 10th straight for the Saints and snapped a four-game winning streak for the Raiders (3-3, 9-8).
Junior Keba Mitchell had 12 points and a game-high 10 rebounds for the Saints.
