Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Boyd County Lions (Ashland, KY) and the visiting Bracken County Polar Bears (Brooksville, KY), saw Boyd County's basketball squad hold off Bracken County by a tally of 65-61.
With the victory, Boyd County improves its record to 9-2 on the campaign. The Lions host Ashland Blazer (Ashland, KY) to confront the Tomcats in a District 64 challenge on Thursday, December 29. The Tomcats come into the challenge with a record of 2-9. Ashland Blazer won 56-53 in their recent non-league challenge against Russell (Russell, KY)
Next up, the Polar Bears confront the Russell Red Devils (Russell, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 29. Bracken County will attempt to improve on its 5-6 season record. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a 4-8 record after their 56-53 non-league loss to Ashland Blazer (Ashland, KY).
