Georgia High School Basketball - Westover trounces Columbus

January 13, 2017: Albany, GA 31707

The Westover Patriots (Albany, GA) basketball crushed the visiting Columbus Blue Devils (Columbus, GA), 70-49 in Friday's league test.

The Patriots (9-5) will now prepare for their test against Americus-Sumter (Americus, GA). The Panthers go into the AAAA Region 1 test with a 12-4 record. In their last test, Americus-Sumter was trounced by Carver (Columbus, GA), 60-56, in a league test.

The Blue Devils now own a 8-7 record. They play next when they host Northside for a AAAA Region 1 test on Saturday, January 14. Columbus will encounter a Patriots squad coming off a 63-59 league loss to Americus-Sumter (Americus, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 8-6.
