The Manitou Springs Mustangs basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the visiting Rye Thunderbolts to 32 in the Mustangs league victory on Thursday.

The Mustangs now sport a 9-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Trinidad for a 3A Tri-Peaks contest on Tuesday, January 17. Manitou Springs will battle a Miners team coming off a 56-51 league loss to Salida (Salida, CO). The Miners record now stands at 3-7.

The Thunderbolts (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Simla (Simla, CO). The Cubs come into the non-league contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Simla triumphed over Byers (Byers, CO), 52-44, in a non-league contest.
