The South County Vipers basketball team scored 52 points and restricted the host Mt. Olive Wildcats to 50 in the Vipers league victory on Monday.

The Vipers now sport a 16-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lincolnwood/Morrisonville for a MSM contest on Thursday, February 9. South County will battle a team coming off a 47-27 non-league win over Litchfield (Litchfield, IL). The record now stands at 15-10.

The Wildcats (9-15) will now prepare for their contest against East Alton-Wood River (Wood River, IL). The Oilers come into the Prairie State contest with a 6-15 record. In their last contest, East Alton-Wood River edged Brussels (Brussels, IL), 71-48, in a non-league contest.
