The Sedgwick County Cougars (Julesburg, CO) basketball nipped the visiting Akron Rams (Akron, CO), 42-40 in Thursday's league test.

The Cougars (15-2) will now prepare for their test against Caliche (Iliff, CO). The Buffaloes go into the 1A District 4 test with a 8-8 record. In their last test, Caliche was tipped by Holyoke (Holyoke, CO), 64-58, in a league test.
