The New Castle Trojans basketball team scored 70 points and held the visiting Mooresville Pioneers to 48 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Trojans now sport a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host New Palestine for a Hoosier Heritage contest on Friday, December 15. New Castle will battle a Dragons team coming off a 49-44 non-league loss to Westfield (Westfield, IN). The Dragons record now stands at 4-1.
The Pioneers (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Decatur Central (Indianapolis, IN). The Hawks enter the Mid-State contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Decatur Central was routed by Bloomington South (Bloomington, IN), 72-42, in a non-league contest.
