The Oxford Wolverines basketball team scored 53 points and held the host Watertown Indians to 41 in the Wolverines non-league triumph on Friday.
The Wolverines now sport a 2-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wilby for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 30. Oxford will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 90-83 non-league loss to Torrington (Torrington, CT). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-7.
The Indians (2-10) will now prepare for their contest against Crosby (Waterbury, CT). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 6-5 record. In their last contest, Crosby ran past Wilby (Waterbury, CT), 76-63, in a league contest.
