We got off to bad start with Liberty recovering the very first kickoff in our territory and going in for a easy first qtr. score.
We were able in the second qtr. to get some offense going and tied the game up with scrambling Tyler Ward finding WR, Leo Wills II downfield on a 20 yard pass for a TD. Then with @5seonds to go in the half another costly turnover was returned to our 1 yard line where Liberty was able to punch it in for 14-7 halftime lead.
In the third qtr. Tyler Ward was intercepted and it was returned to the 1 yard line a gain for an easy liberty score.
In the fourth qtr we were finally able to protect the football and get a score and the point after was missed, leaving us at 1-1 for the 2009 season. The moral of the story is no matter how much talent you have or how good you think you may be, you must protect the football. Liberty didn't score from aoffensive posession that was generated from a turnover. liberty played hard and won the game.
