Game Story

Kansas High School Football - Fort Scott drops to Independence

(September 17, 2010: Independence, KS 67301) In Friday's league game, the Independence Bulldogs (Independence, KS) football team knocked off the visiting Fort Scott Tigers (Fort Scott, KS), by a final score of 28-14.

The Bulldogs (3-0) will now prepare for their game against Labette County (Altamont, KS). The Grizzlies come into the Southeast Kansas game with a 1-2 record. In their last game, Labette County was dropped by Parsons (Parsons, KS), 43-7, in a league game.

The Tigers now hold a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Parsons for a Southeast Kansas game on Friday, September 24. Fort Scott will battle a Vikings team coming off a 43-7 league win over Labette County (Altamont, KS). The Vikings record now stands at 2-1.
