The New Fairfield Rebels football team (New Fairfield, CT), was knocked off 39-14 in Thursday's league challenge with the visiting Brookfield Bobcats (Brookfield, CT)
The Bobcats (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Oxford (Oxford, CT). The Wolverines come into the Southwest challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last challenge, Oxford was knocked off by Bethel (Bethel, CT), 54-41, in a league challenge.
The Rebels now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Stratford for a Southwest outing on Friday, October 14. New Fairfield will encounter a Red Devils team coming off a 41-38 league win over Notre Dame Catholic (Fairfield, CT). The Red Devils record now stands at 1-3.
