In Saturday's non-league game, the St. Ignatius Wildcats (Cleveland, OH) football team tipped the host St. Francis Red Raiders (Athol Springs, NY), by a final score of 21-20.
The Wildcats (7-1) will now prepare for their game against St. Xavier (Cincinnati, OH). The Bombers come into the non-league game with a 6-2 record. In their last game, St. Xavier got by St. Edward (Lakewood, OH), 17-10, in a non-league game.
The Red Raiders now hold a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cardinal O'Hara for a Monsignor Martin game on Saturday, October 22. St. Francis will battle a Hawks team coming off a 32-14 league loss to Canisius (Buffalo, NY). The Hawks record now stands at 1-6.
