The Ledyard Colonels football squad scored 35 points and restricted the visiting Waterford Lancers to 0 in the Colonels league victory on Thursday.

The Colonels now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Killingly for a non-league battle on Thursday, September 20. Ledyard will play a Redmen squad coming off a 39-6 non-league loss to New London (New London, CT). The Redmen record now stands at 0-1.

Coming up next, the Lancers play the Griswold Wolverines (Griswold, CT) in a non-league battle, on Friday, September 21. Waterford will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
