The Brantley County Herons girls basketball team won Saturday's home non-conference game against Lanier County by a score of 57-41.
The Brantley County Herons basketball team scored 57 points and held the visiting Lanier County Bulldogs to 41 in the Herons non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Herons now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to McIntosh County Academy for a 2-AA contest on Tuesday, January 6. Brantley County will confront a Buccaneers team coming off a 67-43 non-league win over Bluffton (Bluffton, SC). The Buccaneers record now stands at 3-7.
The Bulldogs (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Cook (Adel, GA). The Hornets enter the non-league contest with a 5-9 record. In their last contest, Cook was defeated by Thomasville (Thomasville, GA), 47-36, in a league contest.
The Lanier County Bulldogs girls basketball team lost Saturday's away non-conference game against Brantley County by a score of 57-41.
The Brantley County Herons girls basketball team won Friday's away non-conference game against Lanier County by a score of 54-44.
