Texas High School Basketball - Midland overwhelms Monterey

Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Midland Bulldogs (Midland, TX) and the visiting Monterey Plainsmen (Lubbock, TX), saw Midland's basketball squad trounce Monterey by a score of 73-36.

With the victory, Midland improves its record to 12-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Amarillo (Amarillo, TX) to battle the Sandies in a 5A Region I District 2 challenge on Tuesday, December 23. The Sandies come into the challenge with a record of 9-5. Amarillo won 33-23 in their recent league challenge against San Angelo Central (San Angelo, TX)

Next up, the Plainsmen battle the Permian Panthers (Odessa, TX) in a 5A Region I District 2 challenge, on Tuesday, December 23. Monterey will attempt to improve on its 9-3 season record.
