In Tuesday's league match, the host Fort Bend Baptist Eagles basketball team scored a good 48-33 triumph over the Awty International Rams.
In their next game, the Eagles confront the Concordia Lutheran Crusaders (Tomball, TX) in a TAPPS 4A District 4 match, on Friday, January 14. Fort Bend Baptist will attempt to move on its 21-9 season record. The Crusaders enter the match with a 21-7 record after their 80-16 league win over Pope John XXIII (Katy, TX).
With the defeat, Awty International moves to 4-4 on the year. The Rams travel to Northland Christian (Houston, TX) to confront the Cougars in a TAPPS 4A District 4 match on Friday, January 14. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 7-13. Northland Christian lost 50-16 in their recent league match against Second Baptist (Houston, TX)
Five points in the opening quarter by junior Clara Pardue helped the Eagles to a slim first quarter lead.
Senior Nicole Gerschoffer would score six of her 10 points in the second quarter, as FBBA would build the lead to double digits. Sophomore Bailey would had six of her game high 16 in the quarter.
Sophomore guard Brianna LaChapelle dumped in four in the quarter. Leah Dibble contributed, solid defense, four points for the game.
With the win FBBA moves to 2-0 in district play, 21-9 on the year.
