The United Christian Academy Crusaders girls basketball team lost Tuesday's home conference game against Stuart Hall by a score of 50-21.
The Stuart Hall Dragons (Staunton, VA) basketball crushed the host United Christian Academy Crusaders (Stanardsville, VA), 50-21 in Tuesday's league test.
The Dragons (9-2) will now prepare for their test against Riverfront Christian (Front Royal, VA). The Ram go into the non-league test with a 10-0 record. In their last test, Riverfront Christian walloped Mt. Carmel Christian Academy (Luray, VA), 43-35, in a league test.
The Crusaders now own a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Grace Christian for a Virginia Christian test on Friday, January 27. United Christian Academy will clash with a Warriors squad coming off a 57-12 league win over Ridgeview Christian (Stuarts Draft, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 4-6.
Stuart Hall girls’ varsity basketball traveled to Standardsville Tuesday night for a conference matchup against United Christian Academy with the final being 50-21, in favor of STU. Stuart Hall started out strong taking a 15-2 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. The Dragon’s had strong performances from Katie Hoover who delivered 21 points, 13 boards, and 2 blocks. Sydney Nuckoles put up 12 points, 7 assists, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals. Sarah Mellen and McKenzie Janosky contributed with 6 points each, along with Charlotte Hereford’s 3 point night. The girls are now 9-2 on the year and next defend their home floor this Friday against Riverfront. Tip-off is 5pm.
