New York High School Lacrosse - Grand Island held off by Niagara-Wheatfield

Niagara-Wheatfield Falcons (Sanborn, NY) boosters exited the stadium content Friday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad nip the host Grand Island Vikings (Grand Island, NY), 9-8 in a non-league battle.

The Falcons now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Mount St. Mary Academy for a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 17.

In their next game, the Vikings clash with the Eden Raiders (Eden, NY) in a non-league battle, on Monday, April 16. Grand Island will attempt to advance on its 1-3 season record. The Raiders come into the battle with a 2-2 record after their 9-5 non-league loss to West Seneca East (West Seneca, NY).
