The Bishop Amat Lancers the host Los Altos Conquerors soccer squad by a margin of 3-0 in Thursday's non-league match.
The Lancers now hold a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host El Rancho for a non-league match on Friday, December 12. Bishop Amat will play a Dons squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over St. Paul (Santa Fe Springs, CA). The Dons record now stands at 2-1.
With the loss, Los Altos drops to 5-2 on the season. The Conquerors travel to La Habra (La Habra, CA) to encounter the Highlanders in a non-league battle on Monday, December 15. The Highlanders enter the battle with a record of 3-1. La Habra won 2-1 in their recent non-league battle against Wilson (Hacienda Heights, CA)
Bishop Amat jump on Los Altos early by converting two corner kicks. The first goal was at the three minute mark by Amat's Jasmine Roth. It was headed in off a nice corner kick by Victoria Florez. Three minutes later Victoria Florez bended a corner kick inside the near post. It looked as Los Altos was going to cut the lead in half when Los Altos Iliana Medina hit a rocket towards the upper corner, but Amat goalie Lauren Saylor made a super save by punching it over the bar.
In the second half Amat controled the ball and the game as Los Altos did not get one shot on goal in the half. The final goal was at the thirty-two minute mark on another fantastic corner by Amat's Victoria Florez her second goal. Amat's senior striker Victoria Florez ended up with two goals and one assit.
