With the win, Acalanes advances its record to 6-6 on the campaign. The Dons travel to Dublin (Dublin, CA) to battle the Gaels in a Diablo Foothill outing on Friday, February 10. The Gaels go into the outing with a record of 13-5. Dublin 0-0 in their recent league outing against Campolindo (Moraga, CA)
In their next game, the Matadors battle the Campolindo Cougars (Moraga, CA) in a Diablo Foothill outing, on Friday, February 10. Miramonte will attempt to advance on its 6-10 season record. The Cougars go into the outing with a 8-3 record after their 0-0 league Dublin (Dublin, CA).
Miramonte came into the contest needed a victory if they wanted any hopes of playing in the North Coast Section playoffs. They played against crosstown rival Acalanes. The dons honored their seniors before the game and the good times continued on the field. The first goal was scored by Isabella Gotts on a nice cross by Becca Bostwick. Second goal Becca Bostwick maneuvered through a Mats defender and buried the ball into the back of the net. Third goal came on a set piece as senior Callie Goodman drained the shot for 25 yards out. That brought the score to 3-0 at halftime. Miramonte came out with some energy in the second half paced by Hosanna Fuller's 6 saves in goal. Gotts would tally her second goal of the match on a nice feed by Tottle. Final 4-0, Acalanes.
