Foothill Falcons (Pleasanton, CA) fans were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team prevail over the visiting Washington Huskies (Fremont, CA), 4-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Falcons confront the Archbishop Mitty Monarchs (San Jose, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 22. Foothill will attempt to better on its 5-0 season record.
The Huskies now have a 0-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Irvington for a Mission Valley challenge on Tuesday, December 19. Washington will confront a Vikings team coming off a 6-4 league loss to James Logan (Union City, CA). The Vikings record now stands at 4-2.
Foothill entertained Washington (Fremont) on a blustery Saturday afternoon racing past the Huskies to an easy 4-0 win. The Falcons overwhelmed the Huskies from the opening whistle with extensive play from the entire healthy squad throughout the first half and part of second half generating 23 shots and 12 corner kicks in the match against just 1 shot for Washington. The scoring was led by Sarah Mirr (Sr) with 3 goals on 9 shots as well as Kira Broacha’s (Jr) late tally on one of her 5 shots. The defense wasn’t tested in the match after a couple of tough matches earlier this week. The Falcons finished the week 2-0-1 and now turn their attention to (finals) next weekend’s Tri Valley Classic in Danville.
