We have been hit hard with some injuries to key players - the flu and a few players away for the holiday week - despite that we played 6 forwards and 4 defense and relied on another outstanding effort in goal by Sophomore Asst. Captain Ryan Dobos. Dobos made 35 saves in the contest and the game stayed close through the first two periods 1 -0. NFI had several offensive chances throughout the game but was not able to find the back of the net. Nick Dundie - Matt Hilliard - Jake Ryan and Joe Carlucci played solid on defense limiting BCL to just one goal in most of the game but playing short handed the team tired in the 3rd period gave up 3 goals to seal the win for BCD. Joe Gaudette and Austin Murphy led the NFI offense in shots. We are looking forward to getting some key players back into the line up for the next game against Joel Barlow on Wednesday. Our team played the best they could under the circumstances and never gave up. The game was a lot closer than the scored indicated.
