Coaches Summary

Game Summary

Having lost the first 5 games of the season, the Hoggers were desperately seeking a victory on Wednesday at home versus the Penguins of Cushing Academy. As it was just the second home game thus far, the boys were fired up to play in front a home crowd and hopefully get on the right track. The Hogger offense was on fire from the start, as NMH raced out to a 6-0 lead after one quarter, a 14-0 lead at halftime, and eventually to 17-0 before the Penguins got on the scoreboard. Down the stretch, Cushing battled hard, scoring four of the final five goals of the game. In the end, NMH got their much-needed first win of the season by the final score of 18-4.
Leading the way offensively for NMH was Paul Butler '14 (Toronto, Canada) with 4 goals. Briton Barge '14 (Larkspur, CA) added 3 goals, while four other teammates had two goals apiece. Co-captain Jordan Dow '14 (Sudbury, MA) scored once and added 5 assists, while Christian Heidelberger '14 (Westwood, MA) also had 5 assists.
