The Quincy Trojans soccer team won Tuesday's home non-conference game against Redding Christian by a score of 4-1.
The crowd at Tuesday's non-league outing between the Quincy Trojans (Quincy, CA) and the visiting Redding Christian Lion (Palo Cedro, CA), saw Quincy's soccer squad knock off Redding Christian by a count of 4-1.
The Trojans now own a 13-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Paradise Adventist Academy for a Feather River League outing on Wednesday, October 12. Quincy will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 1-1 non-league Puget Sound Adventist (Kirkland, WA). The Cougars record now stands at 4-7.
With the loss, Redding Christian drops to 4-4 on the season. The Lion host Butte Valley (Dorris, CA) to meet the Bulldogs in a Evergreen League outing on Thursday, October 13. The Bulldogs come into the outing with a record of 0-6. Butte Valley lost 3-0 in their recent league outing against Tulelake (Tulelake, CA)
Quincy came out strong, but early in the first half Redding Christian came out ahead with a 1 - 0 lead. Quincy came back to score 3 more goals in the first half, to go into half time with a healthy lead. The first goal was a pass by Henry Dillingham up the center to Luis who was able to turn and finish into the net. Justin Lusk passed the ball to Dale Morgan who scored the second goal. The third goal was a nice run up the sideline by Erik Schwartz who chipped the ball over the last defender to Luis Rubalcava-Cunan who was wide open and was able to finish strongly. Mid way through the second half Quincy scored off a direct kick when Justin Lusk made a nice pass to Adam Donald who was open to finish for the final goal of the game.
