James Farley had a chance early in the game, but his shot hit the sidebar, traveled all the way to the other side, but failed to go inside the net. Park View benefited from a few free kicks around the 18 yard box and, after two failed attempts, they scored in the 13th minute, when the ball was deflected by the wall. The Eagles kept close and had a chance to level in the 29th minute when Liam Burke dribbled the goalie on the right hand side of the field, but his attempt from an acute angle went over the cross bar. Four minutes later, Liam was fouled in the box and the referee pointed to the penalty spot. The Eagles didn't convert the penalty, but managed to score with two minutes to intermission and level the game. Bryce Dietrich got opened on the right hand side of the field, dribbled the ball in the box, then crossed it to Liam who shot it in the bottom left corner. In the second half, the Eagles tried to absorb the pressure exerted by Park View, but found themselves falling short.
