The Southwest Eagles smashed the visiting Palo Verde Valley Yellowjackets soccer squad by a margin of 4-0 in Tuesday's league match.
The Eagles now sport a 11-4 record. They play next when they travel to Calexico for a Desert match on Friday, February 3.
With the loss, Palo Verde Valley drops to 7-9 on the season. The Yellowjackets travel to Imperial (Imperial, CA) to encounter the Tigers in a Desert match on Friday, February 3. The Tigers come into the match with a record of 3-6.
The first half was a battle in midfield with both teams having few scoring opportunities. Southwest capitalized once before half time to take the lead. At the second half paloverde got tired having few substitutes and southwest started to control midfield and the attacking. Southwest scored three times to end the game in a four zero win.
