Amador Valley Dons (Pleasanton, CA) supporters were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team prevail over the visiting Alhambra Bulldogs (Martinez, CA), 4-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Dons confront the Ygnacio Valley Warriors (Concord, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, December 6. Amador Valley will attempt to move on its 2-1 season record. The Warriors enter the challenge with a 3-0 record after their 6-0 non-league win over San Rafael (San Rafael, CA).
The Bulldogs now possess a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Antioch for a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 7. Alhambra will confront a Panthers team coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Clayton Valley Charter (Concord, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 1-2.
Amador Valley started their match with Alhambra and scored within the first minute. Zion Kiehle took a ball and put it in the back of the Alhambra net before some even knew the game had begun. Amador continued their pressure and added goal #2 in the 13th minute. James West found Kiehle for his second goal. And then, as if to make sure no one questioned their effectiveness, the same combination connected for another goal within the next few moments (3-0). The tone changed after the first 15 minutes. Both teams made personnel changes and the play simmered down. Late in the second half, Lucas Babati sent an assist to Nolan Jetter who drove a screamer into the net for the final score. Full time - Amador 4-0. With the win Amador improves to 2-1-1 and awaits an away match @ Ygnacio Valley on Wednesday @ 7 pm. Go Dons!
