In Saturday's non-league contest, the Meridian Wildcats (Meridian, MS) volleyball squad nudged the host Murrah Mustangs (Jackson, MS), by a margin of 2-1.
Next up, the Wildcats face the St. Joseph Catholic Bruins (Madison, MS) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 17. Meridian will attempt to better on its 4-15 season record. The Bruins go into the contest with a 19-5 record after their 3-0 league win over Mississippi School for the Deaf (Jackson, MS).
Next, the Mustangs encounter the Forest Hill Patriots (Jackson, MS) in a Class 3 Region 2 challenge, on Thursday, September 22. Murrah will attempt to move on its 2-8 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 2-8 record after their 3-0 league loss to Madison Central (Madison, MS).
