Mystic Valley played a tough Lowell Catholic team in a non-conference game on Friday, September 29. Despite having a big lead in the first set, Lowell Catholic worked their way back in, and after several long rallies, the Eagles were able to secure the victory. The team used the momentum from the first set to rally through to win their eighth straight match. The Eagles are now 9-1 overall.
As a team, the Eagles combined for a 30% kill percentage and an 89% serve percentage as well as 46 digs in the match. Junior Talia Mamayek led the team in kills with 10 on 24 attempts and only 4 errors (41% kill, .250 hitting average).
