A great win for the Rebels on Dig Pink night! The Rebels kept a small lead that they were able to increase after KP tied it up at 7-7. The Rebels worked hard to earn their points and play consistently throughout the set. A kill by A.Rae and a kill and ace by S.King won the set for the Rebels. M.Rae started set 2 with a 7 point serving run that included 3 aces. Although KP was able t earn points, they could not close the gap. Kills from M.Whelan and A.O'Brien, a block kill by M.Rae and B.Lanchester, and a kill by B.Lanchester helped keep the Rebels ahead and give them the set. KP did not give up and kept challenging the Rebels in set 3 until the Rebels broke away at 11-11 with kills by A.Rae and M. Whelan, and aces by M. Rae. A.O'Brien served strong for the last few points and S.King contributed a kill. A KP serve errors gave the set and match to the Rebels. B. Abril, A.Rae, S. King, and M.Rae were stellar on receive and defense and kept the offense running in system.
