Congratulations to Brooke Waller for being selected as Player of the Week. Brooke has improved her decision making on the floor as our starting point guard and has successfully led her team to two victories over the last week. Posted: Tue, Jan 24 2012 Congratulations to Courtney Rushing for being selected as Player of the Week. Courtney stepped up and played her best game of the year at JM Robinson. Courtney did what was asked of her. She stepped up and didn't try to take anyone's place, but filled her role to the fullest with great defense (as always) and scoring 8 points in the Wonders tough loss to Robinson. Victoria's week started off with 2 points and a great defensive effort against the much larger post players in the team's loss to Northwest. Tiera really stepped up her play this week and was the leading rebounder in both of the JV Lady Wonder's wins this week grabbing 15 vs. Mt. Pleasant and 8 vs. Hickory Ridge. She also shot 50% from the field in both games scoring 10 points per game. She is realizing how her height can help her be both a defensive force and an offensive threat.
