Congratulations to Christian Barron for being selected as Player of the Week. Christian had a great week of games, contributing quite a bit to the team at both the forward and wing positions. His speed and endurance make him a hard mark for opponents and his ability to put pressure on defenders has resulted in numerous opportunities on the offensive end, as well as effective defending on opposing wings. Jose had a three great games in the Liberty tournament, stepping into the offensive center-mid position and controlling the offensive attack, including a hat trick in one game. Martin played an outstanding game at Cibola (our only game this week), with a goal, an assist, and some great play throughout the midfield, covering for out-of-position defenders, setting up plays from the field and with throw-ins, and finishing a great goal in the first overtime with a volley to the corner.
