Congratulations to Rafael Olivera for being selected as Player of the Week. Senior deefensive end Rafael "Chubby" Olivera played tough forcing the Bloomington ball carriers to run inside on several occasions. He was instrumental in stopping their option and sweep to his side and was a true leader during the game and the season. View Previous Selections

Posted: Fri, Nov 11 2011 Congratulations to Nick Morones for being selected as Player of the Week. Junior Jose Cervantes sparked the Avalon Lancer defense holding Liberty Christian to 6 points in Express League 8-Man competition. Cervantes blocked a punt, recovered a fumble, had 8 tackles and 2 hurries defensively. Sophomore Ricco Dominguez kept his yards per carry average way up with 3 rushes for a team leading 84 yards. Ricco scored 2 touchdowns. Nick Morones and the entire Senior squad were the Lancer player/s of the game. League Champion Avalon was undefeated in Express League play. View Previous Selections
