Congratulations to Matthias McKinnon for being selected as Player of the Year. Matthias McKinnon is the Player of the Year for Bishop Maginn High School for the 2011 season. He rushed for nearly 1400 yards and had 14 rushing TDs, a TD reception, and a runback of a defensive stripped ball for a TD. Total 16 TDs in 2011. He was also amongst the leading tacklers on defense from his defensive back position. Despite playing both ways , Matthias was also the best kick returner and kick coverage player on the team. He was not only a big play runner on offense but an extremely strong and tough runner in short yardage and goal line situations. McKinnon is a 4 year defensive starter and 3 year offensive starter.View Previous Selections

Matthias McKinnon rushed 29 times for 201 yards and the go ahead touchdown with 4:15 to go in the 4th quarter. he also iced the game with a big interception and return to the Bethlehem 27 yard line to kill their final drive.
