Congratulations to Tori Finucane for being selected as Player of the Week. Tori led Bishop O'Connell to the Virginia Independent Schools State Championship last week -- notching win in the quarter-finals, semis and finals. In doing so, she extended her scoreless inning string to 92. She pitched no-hit gems in the semis and finals in Petersburg, over St. Stephens/St. Agnes School and Nanesmond Suffolk respectively. For the week, she struck out 36 and walked two in 18 innings work as the Knights won their 17th VISSA state title over 19 years competing in that tournament.
