Congratulations to Cameron Kirkland for being selected as Player of the Week. 5-22-12: Union - D. Everett
C. Kirkland, B. Heeter, and A. Beveridge all had 2 hits each with M. Lane adding 2 rbi's. T. Klein pitched a well controlled game. He did have 6 BB but also added 6 K's and gave up no earned runs. Today's player of the game though, goes to D. Everett. He scrored 3 runs, had 3 singles, and added 4 rbi's.
5-24-12: Brockway - C. Kirkland
B. Heeter threw well enough to win (no earned runs) but we made a couple of crucial mistakes to open the door for Brockway. M. Verne also did a nice job coming in. J. Katis had 2 hits and 2 stolen bases. C. Kirkland also kepted up his consistent play by going 2 for 4 with 2 stolen bases and scored 1 run. Kirkland have been a study force all year by playing solid defense, making contact, and running the bases. View Previous Selections

We lost 2-1 but T. Klein pitched a great game and the defense backed him up. Our only bright moment is Heeter running the bases for our only run and A. Beveridge going 2 for 3.
5-16-12: NC - Team Base Running
S. Cherico had 2 SB, M. Smerker had 2 SB, J. Katis had 4 SB, and C. Kirkland had 4 SB. Kirkland had 2 hits and D. Everett had 3 rbi's.
5-17-12: Karns City - Seniors
M. Smerker, D. Everett, and B. Heeter all combined for 2 doubles, 2 SB, 3 hits, and 3 rbi's. T. Corbett and J. Katis contributed 2 rbi's each. T. Klein broke out with a 3 for 4 day with a double.

C. Kirkland, M. Smerker, and B. Heeter all had multiple hits with Smerker and Heeter each getting 3 hits including a double. D. Everett also had a good day at the plate by scoring 2 runs and clubbed in 2 rbi's. Smerker went 3 for 3, scoring 2 runs, and adding 1 rbi. He also had a solid game behind the plate.
