Congratulations to Bethany Moss for being selected as Player of the Year. Bethany ended a great career at Fowler by leading the team in Kills and Digs. Her kill percentage and hitting percentage were among the highest in the state of Colorado for the fourth year in a row. She surpassed the Colorado All Time Kill Leader this year by a significant number, and she has attained many honors and distinctions in her four years. She was the go-to girl for four years for Fowler including her freshman year with her oldest sister Morgan setting and her junior and senior year with her younger sister Lindsey as a setter. Her kill percentage shows why. Above all, she is humble and an extremely good leader. She endured two major back surgeries - one during her sophomore year and one during her junior year. Her final tournament was played with her having strep throat, and like before with her back injuries, most people didn't know anything was wrong. Bethany was a fun player to watch, and her great attitude and stellar performances both offensively and defenisively will be unmatched at Fowler High School for a very long time. Congratulations to Bethany Moss for a remarkable high school career. You will be greatly missed. (110 wins and 6 losses in four years - never lost a home match as a high school player.)View Previous Selections

Posted: Thu, Oct 27 2011 Congratulations to Leandra Gonzales for being selected as Player of the Week. Leandra is stepping up and making a big difference for the Grizzlies. She has taken over some serving and defensive duties and has made huge gains in her confidence. She has added an offensive weapon for the Griz, keeping the tough serve in play to rack up the points in that rotation. Her attitude and TEAM loyalty is admirable and has been all season!
