Hannah Ramsey, our setter, proves week after week to be one of the best athletes on our team! She's quick to the ball, puts up a big block & seldom loses a jousting match. This week she had 36 assists against SV and 26 assists against Clemens, but she really impressed me and her teammates in practice with her ability to hit the ball, which led us to run a 6-2 for the first time all season!
Emily Clark was on fire this week!! We traveled to Lockhart on Tuesday night where Clark put up 3 blocks and had 5 kills for a .400 hitting percentage. It was Friday night's match against cross-town rival Lehman that Clark really came alive. She had 10 kills on 11 attempts for an impressive .909 hitting percentage and led the team with 3 aces!!
Kaylea Beck once again had a great week of volleyball, particularly in our match against Canyon High School on Friday night. Unfortunately, our team fell short of victory, but Beck played an incredible match. In addition to her great leadership, Beck contributed 17 kills, 22 digs, and 3 blocks!!
The Lady Rebels played a great match against Austin High on Tuesday September 6th - battling it out to 5 games and falling short of victory 17-19. Sydney Paradeaux led the team with 21 kills, 19 digs, 3 blocks, and an ace!!! Sydney is definitely a young force to be reckoned with, and continues to grow and mature in every match!!
Kaylea Beck led the Lady Rebels in almost every aspect of the game against Wimberley on Tuesday. She had 12 kills and several aggressive attacks that often forced Wimberley completely out of system. Not only did Kaylea play a phenomenal defensive game with 11 digs, she also passed the ball very well on serve-receive, which enabled the Hays offense to be very successful against the Texans. Beck has such a high volleyball IQ and worked very hard to capitalize on our opponents weaknesses. Her presence on the court was so much more than her stellar stats even show.
