Congratulations to Micaela Bush for being selected as Player of the Week. Heading into Regionals, it's hard not to give the only girl on our team undergoing surgery a little credit. We sure miss our point guard, and perhaps it couldn't have been said any better than when Burlington's own radio announcer commented in the middle of our regional contest that, "Heritage could sure use a good ball-handler". We missed our best handler dearly this time around, but we'll be back to regionals again soon, and our Micaela will have a healthy knee! Posted: Sat, Feb 25 2012 Congratulations to Mariah Green for being selected as Player of the Week. After earning the nickname "Skittles" from the announcers at Briggsdale when she scored a career and season-high 26 points, Mariah continues to wow anyone watching with her truly dominant play. We needed it more than ever this week as we fought our way to Regionals through our district play. In three games against Longmont Christian, Rez, and Dayspring Christian, Mariah scored 15, 23, and 22 points respectively while also grabbing 15, 11, and 14 rebounds.View Previous Selections

Anika played a key role in a tough battle with Dayspring Christian for our last game of the regular season and only game of the week. She finished with 10 rebounds and played great defense throughout the game. Heidi led us in huge ways in the locker room, in practice, and off the floor in general, but on the court as well this week in games against Denver Christian and Briggsdale. Though we lost both games, Heidi helped us make the most of each defeat by helping us focus on the positive and grow in our play as a team. She had a huge 12-point second half at DC, with three three-pointers, rebounded, passed well, and stepped up big on defense.View Previous Selections
Posted: Sat, Feb 25 2012 Congratulations to Sarah Allbrooks for being selected as Player of the Week. Sarah had great outings at home against Longmont Christian and Alexander Dawson. She hit 3 huge three-pointers in the Longmont game, including one from way behind the line, and two in the fourth quarter as we mounted a comeback that fell just short.
