    Congratulations to #35 Craig Colen for being selected as the Player of the Game.

    Junior 3B/P, Craig Colen was able to close out Lowell's 2014 season with a Transbay Championship. In the first inning, Craig would put the Cardinals ahead to stay with a line drive triple over Oakland Tech centerfielder's head that drove in 2 runs. He later scored what would be the winning run on a passed ball.     Senior pitcher Joe Mueller saved his best for last! In his last high school start on the mound, Joe threw a no-hitter vs. the Oakland section champions, Oakland Tech, in the first game of the Transbay Series, where the Lowell Cardinals are defending champions. Commented one teammate, "that was the best game I've ever seen pitched!"     After sitting out all of last season with an injury, Junior Craig Colen finally got his first taste of the playoffs on Thursday vs. Balboa. Craig didn't waste any time setting the tone for the game, as he struck out two batters in the first inning. The only blemish on Craig's line for the day, actually got on base via the strikeout.
