Congratulations to JAKE BAUERS for being selected as Player of the Week. Congrats to Jake Bauers for his clutch hit against Huntington Beach in the bottom of the seventh to give the Vikings a 5 -4 victory over the oilers at Marina. Jake had the walk off two rbi hit that gave Marina the Victory in the bottom of the seventh inning and secured at least a second place finish for the mighty Vikings in the Sunset league. Posted: Mon, May 07 2012 Congratulations to TYLER MILDENBERG for being selected as Player of the Week. Tyler Mildenberg came up big against Edison at Marina. Marina and Edison were tied for 2nd place in the Sunset league and Tyler Mildenberg made sure that Marina would stay alone in second place. Mildenberg went 2 for 2 with two doubles and 3 rbi's. He also scored a run and walked to help Marina beat Edison. Phenomenal job by Tyler Mildenberg. Congrats!View Previous Selections
Posted: Fri, May 04 2012 Congratulations to GREG IGEI for being selected as Player of the Week. Greg Igei is the Vikings player of the week. In the bottom of the 7th with the game tied 2-2 Greg Igei came up big with a walk off single to score Keegan Reeser from 3rd. Greg is one of the Vikings most dedicated and hardest workers and it was phenomenal to see his work pay off in a clutch/impact situation for the Vikings. Although Austin did not get an Opportunity to play in any of the games this week he has represented the Vikings with great pride by his effort and attitude. Austin gives everything he has in all he does. He is a quality individual with a team first mentality. Austin NEVER makes excuses and is always bettering himself as well as the team.
