Congratulations to Sam Hartman for being selected as Player of the Week. The varsity team had only one game this week but it was a good one! Avenging our earlier loss to Fremont High School, our player of the week sophomore Sam Hartman netted 2 first quarter goals that gave the team a big lead that Fremont could not overcome. After getting the team off to a great start, Sam played tough defense with 3 steals and also got a key assist. Now ranked second on the team in steals and assists this season, Hartman has been strong all year.View Previous Selections
Posted: Sun, Oct 23 2011 Congratulations to Heidi Aronson for being selected as Player of the Week. Homecoming week was a easy one for the JV team but the Varsity team made up for it with 7 games total. Several players had good games, but Senior Captain Heidi Aronson was strong all week. Heidi started the week off with a great all-around game against Cupertino. In a game where everyone on the team scored a goal, she also had an assist, a steal, and 9 saves in the goal. In the second game of the week, Aronson played excellent defense and led the team with 4 steals against Harker. In the Los Gatos tournament, Heidi continued to play great defense and worked for good 2-meter position. Her best game of the week was against Aragon. Heidi scored 5 goals on just 6 shots. Scoring goals on break-aways, from the center position, and shooting from the outside, Heidi led the team to a 8-1 victoryView Previous Selections
Posted: Sun, Oct 23 2011 Congratulations to Paige Taylor for being selected as Player of the Week. Sophomore Paige Taylor had an amazing game in the goal with a team season high 19 saves! With the Spartans trailing at halftime, Paige made the key blocks and smart outlet passes that allowed us to catch up and take the lead. Because of the sloughing drop defense that forced outside shots, a lot of pressure was put on Paige. She really stepped up and had her best game of the season so far.View Previous Selections
