Congratulations to Kyle McAlister for being selected as Player of the Week. Kyle McAlister has been selected as athlete of the week for his efforts in the 17-7 Cowhide win over rival Redwood. The senior running back rushed for a game-high 84 yards on 23 tough carries in the rain to key the first win by MWHS over the Rangers in five seasons. Congratulations, Kyle.View Previous Selections

Posted: Fri, Nov 11 2011 Congratulations to Elijah Robles for being selected as Player of the Week. Opening up the scoring with the first two touchdowns against Golden West has helped earn junior RB Elijah Robles the Week 9 athlete of the week award for the Pioneers. Eli returned the opening kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown and scored on a one-yard run later in the first quarter to help MWHS to a 52-21 WYL win over its crosstown rival. Robles leads the Pioneers in rushing (533) and is second in scoring (54). Congratulations Eli.View Previous Selections

Scott, a 5-10, 165-pound junior defensive lineman, had a big game in the loss to Hanford, getting 2.5 sacks for a combined 26 yards lost, deflecting a pass and getting a QB hurry. Posted: Fri, Oct 28 2011 Congratulations to Ray Alcaraz for being selected as Player of the Week. Ray, a 140-pound senior defensive back, intercepted a pass, one of four picked off by the Pioneers against Lemoore and was in on five tackles as MW surprised the Tigers, 28-13, last week on the road. Alcaraz and the rest of the MWHS secondary held Lemoore to just 86 yards passing in the win, with 51 of it coming in the final minute. Congratulations, Ray.View Previous Selections
