Congratulations to Max Gerard for being selected as Player of the Year. PITCHER OF THE YEAR: Max Gerard anchored the Sailor pitching staff and ended the season with a 3.30 ERA (2.48 in league play). His contributions kept the Sailors in several contests this season. With more consistent run support and timely defense his impressive statistics would have been outstanding. Max was our team captain and led by example both in competition and in the locker room. He is the student-athlete we hope all Sailor baseball players strive to emulate. Congratulations Max!
Additionally, Matt Carpenter was the OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR. Matt ended the season leading the team in almost every offensive category: average, on-base percentage, homeruns and stolen bases among them. Congratulations "Carp"!

Congratulations to Chase Kapana for being selected as Player of the Week. Chase Kapana threw 6 1/3 innings of no hit baseball on Tuesday. Then, on Thursday, he threw the eighth inning and struck out 2 to earn an extra inning victory for the Sailors. View Previous Selections
