Congratulations to Daryl Jones for being selected as Player of the Week. Daryl's performance Friday night was truly electrifying, with the Senior showing the character and true grit of a champion as the Eagles battled a tough team from Red Rock High School. With relentless pursuit and devastating hitting, Daryl racked up 15 tackles and a brilliant interception with a 30 yard return. Offensively, Daryl lit up the field and the scoreboard, rushing for 112 yards and a touchdown and catching 4 passes for 185 yards and 3 touchdowns, including an 86 yard catch and run through the middle of the Sedona secondary. As with most games this season, fans, players, and coaches alike were left with no doubt that #28 was the best player on the field.View Previous Selections

Nez stormed out of the gates on Friday, racing 63 yards for a touchdown on the Eagles' first play from scrimmage. He continued to dominate throughout, rushing for 144 tough yards and playing rock solid defense. Verdell had an outstanding night against Greyhills, racking up 131 receiving yards and two touchdowns to go along with his 12 tackles on defense. Verdell also had a game-breaking interception return 45 yards for a touchdown in the 4th quarter to seal the deal for the Eagles. Defensively, he had 9 tackles, all solo and four for a loss, and two sacks. Daryl also caused, recovered, and returned a fumble 39 yards for a touchdown, adding to his 66 yards rushing and one touchdown on offense.
