Senior Edward Huang is our last Spartan to be voted "Spartan of the Week" for 2012. His efforts on the offensive and defensive line all season helped the team to achieve their goal of becoming the 2011 Washington State 4A Champions. Your fans have spoken and we were excited to watch your play. Congratulations Edward !!
Devin came to the Spartans from Texas this year when his family moved to Sammamish. He is now a starting outside linebacker. As he has grown into the position his play has become impeccable. He makes hits on the opposing teams like a freight train. On kick offs, teams have been double teaming him so he can't get down field and destroy the returner. He has been a great addition to the Spartans. Congratulations Devin !! Now go out and help win another State Championship !!
Ben has been our anchor on the right side of the line all season. In the Central valley game he dominated his opponent and ensured limited contact to Max by the Central Valley Defense. He has done an outstanding job all year. He is also one of our teams leaders as a team captain. Congratulations Ben, keep focused for one more big game for the State Championship next week!!!!
The Spartans are known throughout the state for their passing game. The last couple of weeks the Spartans have surprised their opponents with the running game and had great success. That success was in no small part due to the outstanding running of Damien Greene. Averaging over 5 yards a carry and scoring a touchdown in the last six consecutive games Damien shows that the Spartans are not a one dimensional team. He is also one of our stars at defensive corner. Keep up the good work against Central Valley this week. Congratulations, Damien!!
Adan has been a staple both in the defensive backfield and the receiving corps this season, making plays when called upon. Congratulations Adan, and good luck this week against Mead. Stay focused.
Jon has been playing hard every week and making a difference on both sides of the ball. Playing at Tight End and Defensive End he continues to make big plays. Last week against Roosevelt he made a huge sack of the Quarterback causing a loss of 13 yards. Congratulations Jon, your fans love watching you play!! Now on to the next game against Monroe!!
Congratulations Ausitn for being voted "Spartan of the Week" by your fans against Eastlake. Your efforts this year are starting to pay off as we enter the playoffs. Keep up the good work and good luck against Roosevelt!!
Jake is one of the senior leaders at linebacker. Fast and strong on the outside he is a domineering force. We will need his services tonight against Eastlake and look forward to watching his play on the field!! Congratulations Jake!!
Joe Beattie is the anchor of our Offensive line. He is the starting Spartan Center as well as a captain of the team. His leadership is invaluable and is the example of what a Spartan football player aspires too. Congratulations Joe you have been voted as the "Spartan of the Week" by you fans and teammates, an honor well deserved!!
Nate came in at the beginning of the second half and was outstanding. 7 of 7 for 95 yards and two touchdowns. He also had 1 carry for 10 yards and a touchdown clenching the Spartan win against Redmond 41 - 17. One heck of a quaterback and so exciting to watch. Congratulations Nate, your fans love to watch you play.
Reed has been a terror on the defensive line this year. He had key sacks in the Lake Oswego game and the Issaquah game. It is a pleasure to watch him work on Friday nights. Keep up the tough line play Reed and Congratulation on being voted the Spartan of the week!!!
Congratulations Mason!! Mason had 3 catches for 29 yards and one touchdown against Lake Oswego. He is one of our go-toguys on offensive. He has a total of 6 catches for 59 yards (9.83 average per catch) and two touchdowns. Nice work Mason. You are exciting to watch. Now lets go get Issaquah!!
Congratulations Brandon. Brandon was considerably out sized by his competition last game but he held his ground to give Max time to complete passes for 300 yards. Brandon also made a key fumble recovery in the Liberty game. Job well done. Keep up the hard work.!!
Congratulations Taggart, you had a great game against Liberty. Six catches for 52 yards and two touchdowns. Exciting to watch.
