Posted: Sun, Apr 08 2012 Congratulations to Danielle Micciche for being selected as the Varsity Softball Player of the Week. Congratulations to Danielle Micciche for being selected "Player of the Week" 3/25-31 for her solid pitching performances on the mound with 3 wins. The Seahawks' sophomore RHP gave up only 4 runs on 10 hits, of which all were singles except 1 double, and only 1 ER in her 2 starting roles and 0 ER "in relief" during the Academy of the Holy Names game for an ERA of 0.496. Danielle's toughest challenge was keeping a well coached and strong hitting Gulf team off balance, getting 18 fly/pop outs, and putting an end to Gulf's 10 game winning streak. Great job Danielle! Congratulations to Junior Brandi Travis for her selection of "Player of the Week" for 3/18-3/24. Brandi put up some amazing stats for the Lady Seahawks at the Hernando Leopard Slam Tournament this weekend. Brandi went 6 for 9, batting .667, with 7 runs scored, 1 RBI, 2 walks, and an amazing 10 for 10 stolen bases. Brandi continues to be a dominate lead-off batter for the Lady Seahawks.
