Congratulations to Joey Trinkle for being selected as the Varsity Basketball Player of the Week. Senior Center Joey Trinkle is this week's POTW. Over the Highlander's last two games Joey has averaged 20 ppg & 10 rpg, allowing The Woodlands to stay in the hunt for a third straight district title. Trinkle, a unanimous team captain, has averaged 9 ppg & 8 rpg this season leading the Highlanders to a 23-3 record with seven games remaining in the regular season. The Woodlands looks to continue its dominance in District 14-5A and will be ready for a deep run in the state playoffs with Trinkle leading the way.View Previous Selections

Maghen was one of three Lady Highlanders receiving all-tournament honors over the Christmas Break at the UT-Tyler Tournament. Posted: Tue, Nov 29 2011 Congratulations to Nolan Cass for being selected as the Varsity Basketball Player of the Week. Nolan "Whitey" Cass is the first POTW for the 2011-2012 season. Cass is averaging almost 19 ppg on 54% shooting, 53% from beyond the perimeter. He has also added 13 rebounds, 8 steals and 5 assists to help the Highlanders get off to a great start.
