    Longtime Torrance High baseball head coach Ollie Turner has decided to step down after 12 years.In a process that usually takes some time to find a replacement, the Tartars were in luck as Turner's longtime assistant coach Terry DeWan was appointed by Torrance's principal Karim Girgis."With Ollie's kids getting older he wanted to have more time to spend time with them," DeWan said.     The mood in the Torrance dugout was bittersweet, full of players wishing they were taking the field in another CIF Southern Section playoff game, but thankful for the cool event brought to them by former major leaguer and MLB Network analyst Eric Byrnes, a man with Torrance ties.
